Voluntary worker with Whitley Bay and Newcastle WEA Branches. Have held Vice-Chair, Chair, Secretary and Vice-President posts. Part-time Tutor's Representative. Convener of the WEA Newcastle Branch "Volunteer Accreditation and Training" (VAT) group. Residential Weekend organiser. Ex-member of District Training & Education Support Committee. Have been member of District Committee, delegate to District Council and National Conferences.

1986 to present...

Have worked as a part-time tutor in a wide variety of curriculum areas: -

Music Appreciation and History, Information Technology, History of Ideas (Philosophy, Politics, Science), Tutor Training, Creative Writing, Art History, etc.

1994 to 1995...

Part-time Development Officer (Projects) for District-wide "Access to Teaching in Adult & Community Education" (ATACE) programme. Author of the programme in 1992.

2005 to present...
