Welcome to my site! I hope you find it useful.

I am an adult education teacher, working in the North East of the UK, and a user of the Linux operating system on a 'domestic' basis. I often teach ICT, but also music history, philosophy and politics, teacher training and occasional forays into science. I'm also General Secretary of the Association of Part-Time Tutors. if anyone wants to know more, my CV can be found via a link at the bottom right.

This website is largely connected with my job as a teacher, and contains within it both paper and software resources that refer to courses I have developed and taught over the years. All the material is free to download, but you must comply with a Creative Commons license in order to use it; please see the handouts page for further details. The software supplied is all open-source, freeware or shareware (if you find any commercial software amongst it, please let me know and it will be removed forthwith). Software is supplied 'as is' and I can't be held liable for any consequences of the use or misuse of anything you download here (please note!).
